This very rare Vinaigrette is modelled as a basket of fruit and flowers. This piece displays a detailed repousse hinged cover decorated with fruit and flowers with a corded edge. The handle, sides and base are engraved with basket weave design to simulate the basket. The interior displays fine original lemon gilding and a grille pierced and engraved with two flower heads surrounded by pluming scrolls. The Vinaigrette is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the base. This design of Vinaigrette is extremely rare and we can only find one other illustrated which is shown in "Investing in Silver" by Eric Delieb, page 110.

Length: 1 inch, 2.5cm.
Width: 0.75 inches, 1.875cm.
