The Mug is of the plain "Can" form with slightly tapering sides and a reeded mounding at the rim and on the base. The cast scroll handle has an unusual ribbed surface and oval moulding where it is attached to the main body. The front of the main body is engraved with a Crest. The gauge and condition of this piece is excellent and it is the first time we have offered a child's mug, of this early date, from Dublin. Andrew Goodwin is a scarce maker and held the prestigious position of Master of the Goldsmith's Company of Dublin in 1746-7 and 1764-5.

Height: 2.1 inches, 5.25cm.
Diameter: 2.25 inches, 5.63cm.
