The Salt Cellars have a tri-furcated platform base which stands on three ball feet. The base is decorated with a frieze of raised swirling roundels and foliate motifs. The large circular bowl rests on three stylised paw feet, decorated with foliage and attached to the main body with acanthus leaf mouldings. The upper section of the bowl is decorated with a raised herring bone band and rises to a shaped flared rim decorated with swirling foliate motifs. The Salt Cellars are cast in two sections and the platform base is bolted to the main body underneath. The base is fully marked, as is the underside of the bowl and the base is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials. This is a most unusual design, highly influenced by the work of Paul Storr, and we cannot find any similar examples in our library.

Height: 3.5 inches, 8.75cm.
Diameter at the rim: 3.6 inches, 9cm.
Weight: 24oz.
