| GAZDAR JEWELERS |
In 1933, Gazdar's—elite jewellers to the finest families in the country—became the first commercial outlet to open at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. To Mr Dotivala, fresh from Sydenham College in 1947, goes the distinction of being the oldest employee still at work in the building (with the possible exception of Meherwanji Chinoy, a Gazdar's director two years his senior).
