An Unusual Bohemian Amber Flash, Cut-Glass Eighty-Five Piece Table Service.

The Service Comprising:

Twelve Champagne Flutes; Twelve facet stem Wine Glasses, Twelve Large Balloon Shaped Brandy Glasses; Twelve Large Tumblers; Twelve Small Tumblers, Twelve Water Glasses; Twelve Small Brandy Glasses; Two Large Water Pitchers and an Ice Bucket.

Each piece is of deeply cut glass in typical bohemian fashion,with flashed amber panels cut away and wheel-engraved.

Bohemia, a part of the former Czechoslovakia, now known as the Czech Republic, has been a centre of glass production since the thirteenth century. World-renowned for the quality of its production and for its technical innovations it became famous for its coloured glass in unusual shades at the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth centuries.
