An unusual pair of carved wood Japanese Kobe toy, in the form of two Bakemono armed with Tsukumogami (objects which have some to life) standing on the heads of two toad like creatures.

The protruding tongues on the creatures all move.

Kobe toy is the name given to mechanical wooden toys made in the harbour of Kobe to sell to tourists and native Kobekko people.
