A superior and bespoke Anglo-Indian (probably military) campaign toiletry box with the original owner´s name "Norman Hackney" inlaid to the lid. The padouk wood box with military style protective brass straps and sunken brass carrying handles.
The whole intricately inlaid with brass foliage, flowers and vases. The lid lifts to reveal a fitted interior consisting of a removable brass inlaid mirror with 2 storage frets to each side. The removable centre tray allows the side trays to slide together which reveals 2 hidden storage compartments.
In superb original condition.

Note: The cutlery shown does NOT belong to the box / this offer.
It just shows dimensions and that the box can perfectly be used as cutlery box, too.
