Later straight grain morocco, smooth back divided into four panels by gilt rules and flower heads, title to second panel, place and date to third, remaining panels with central tool, covers with double fillet border and an inner roll frame, gilt roll to edges and inner edges, a.e.g., with stormont marbled endpapers. Rubbed to extremities, spine slightly dulled, scraping to lower cover. Internally some light browning, occasional light staining, usually to margins, but very occasionally to text, not affecting sense. With the half-title, but lacking the two advertisement leaves to rear. An abridgement of Fuller's Worthies, often attributed to George Sandys, however, Sandys died in 1644 and could never have seen the folio edition of The Worthies of England (Estc)
