The pierced decorated, multi-claw setting is ornamented three graduated opal cabochons.
Two pairs of pavé set Dutch cut diamonds are displayed vertically between the opals to complete the design.
The elevated, flared ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the main setting and melds with the plain hallmarked ring shank.
The ring is fully hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the maker's mark for Alabaster and Wilson 'A & W', the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 18 ct gold mark (18), the Birmingham Assay Office hallmark (anchor) and the date letter for 1909 (k).
NOTE* Alabaster & Wilson was co-founded in 1887 by Arthur Alabaster and Thomas Wilson in Birmingham. This producer of high quality gold and diamond jewellery remains as one of the longest running family businesses in the UK today.
