The insect’s four wings are embellished with sixteen silver set Old European cut diamonds of various sizes.
The thorax of the green bottle fly is ornamented with an impressive feature collet set step cut natural emerald.
The abdomen is further accented with a larger collet set step cut natural emerald.
The head of this impressive insect brooch is embellished with two cabochon ruby eyes.
This 1880’s bar brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and security clasp.
This Victorian brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9 ct gold and silver.
