A superb example of a small early 19thc Table Salt made from Fruitwood, turned on a pole-lathe it has ring turned marks inside the bowl and has gained a lovely warm colour over the years.

English. C1800-20.
From the collection of Jonathan Levi and illustrated in his book "Treen for the Table" on page 100, first salt on row 2 , collection number 936.
