DESCRIPTION

Antique 20th Century Edwardian 18k Gold hardstone mounted seal, made in the Faberge taste, the nephrite handle with gold mounts and applied with a moonstone cabochon, the seal base of the seal mounted with a carnelian in gold.

Apparently unmarked (acid tested 750 gold standard), bears an inventory number 5.4364, always a sign that the item is a commissioned piece and made by an important maker, the seal comes in the original box 'Collingwood & Co, to the Royal Family, 46 Conduit St, London. Collingwood were jewellers to the Royal family and often made commemorative tokens, gifts as well as orders and badges, items often not marked.
