The blade of this antique shoe horn is plain and unembellished.
The handle has an incurved, swept form and is ornamented with a paralleling engraved panelling border accented with stylised leaf designs, all in the Art Deco style.
The hallmarks struck to the underside of this impressive shoehorn include:
Maker's mark: Tiffany & Co. (directorship of John C. Moore II)
Silver quality/purity mark: sterling silver (.925, 925/1000)
Pattern number: 17425 (1909)
Order number: 578
Length of handle 9.7cm/3.8"
Width of blade 4.2cm/1.7"
