A George III period ebonised bracket clock of small proportions. It has a moulded arch top with three brass edged rectangular panels and a brass carrying handle.

The sides have pierced sound frets and the front door inlaid with brass stringing. The original painted dial is signed in florid script ‘Grimalde and Johnson Strand London'. The movement with anchor escapement is of a week duration and strikes the hours on a single bell.
Grimalde and Johnson were established from 1809 to 1828 in the Strand, London. They were also known to have made chronometers.
