The rectangular gilt dial has a finely matted centre, mock pendulum aperture and pierced, blued hands. The lower spandrels are of the most individual design, combining cherub heads for the flowing scrollwork. The upper subsidiary regulator and strike/silent dials are centred by the signature and enclosing engraved scrollwork.
The verge movement, which is hour striking, also has a pull quarter repeat. The exquisitely engraved backplate fills the entire interior of the case. This engraving incorporates delicate flowing scrollwork, trumpeting figures, and the maker's signature.
