Antique Campaign Armchair by Ross
A mahogany Camp Chair attributable to Ross & Co. of Dublin. This chair breaks down easily as can be seen but when set up the height is such that it could be used to dine or at a desk. This type of chair by Ross is relatively rare and the only other two we know of differ slightly in that the backs had fixed upholstery as opposed to removable like this one. It’s an elegant model with a good leg. Circa 1870.
