The surface of the centrepiece is plain and unembellished.
Each of the two detachable hallmarked bon bon baskets have a circular rounded form onto a spreading collet style foot and are fitted with interlacing twist style wirework handles.
Both the baskets and the central vase have a Chippendale style border to the rim.
This impressive antique centrepiece is fitted with two scrolling arms and ornamented with two angular brackets with scrolling terminals.
This fine example of Asian silverware has a weighted base and is fitted with green baize to the underside.
The hallmarks struck to the foot of each piece include:
Maker’s mark: WH (Wang Hing & Co.)
Silver quality/purity mark: 90 (90 standard)
Character mark: Untraced
Width across arms 24cm/8"
Height of basket 10.8cm/4.5”
Diameter of basket 9.3cm/3.6”
Not measurable due to filled base
