The body of the sugar caster is embellished with applied festoons accented with pensile ribbon motifs with suspended circular designs embellished with a male in profile on a matt background.
The upper rim of the caster is ornamented with four square quatrefoil floral designs.
The sugar caster retains the original hallmarked bayonet fitted cover, encircled with vertical bands of tapering pierced decoration, terminating with circular motifs.
The cover is surmounted by an impressive silver finial encompassed by an applied undulating border.
The pedestal foot of this antique caster is encircled with tied festoon decorated bordered, matching the style of the festoons to the body.
