The surface of this impressive Georgian teapot is plain and unembellished.
The silver teapot retains the original hallmarked hinged domed cover surmounted by the original sterling silver spool shaped finial.
This fine silver teapot is fitted with a carved ivory C scroll handle featuring a plain scrolling thumbpiece.
The teapot has a tapering cylindrical spout ornamented with moulded decoration to the rim.
The underside of the base is embellished with the original and contemporary engraved initials 'TIE', in addition to the full hallmarks.
Height to top of finial 12cm/4.75"
Length from back of handle to tip of spout 20.5cm/8.1"
