his exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver three piece tea set/service consists of a teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl.

Each piece of this unusual Hukin and Heath silver tea service has a circular rounded form with a flared upper rim.

The surface of each piece has a planished finish and is embellished with embossed Art Nouveau style organic designs with scrolling terminals to the stems.

The body of each piece is further ornamented with the contemporary engraved initial 'F' to one side and the date '1906' to the other.

The hinged hallmarked cover of the teapot is embellished with three convex domed segments and retains the original bun style finial, accented with three incurved portions.

This teapot is fitted with an impressive and original handle ornamented with interwoven wicker wood covering; the upper handle terminal features three pierced decorated Art Nouveau style organic, tulip motifs.

The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with solid sterling silver handles; matching the wicker covered handle to the teapot.

The interior of cream jug and sugar bowl retain the original gilt interiors.

This exceptional and unusual sterling silver tea service was made by John Thomas Heath & John Hartshorne Middleton, subsequently Hukin & Heath Ltd.
