An Antique Edwardian Sterling silver and glass preserve jar which has a plain glass body with star cut base, plain silver mount and a hinged lid with a recess for the spoon. There is a mechanism attached to the handle which opens and closes the lid when moved which makes this preserve jar more desirable. The spoon fits comfortably inside the jar but has been made by John Grinsell and sons and is dated for 1902. This jar would be perfect to use on the breakfast table.
