This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver money box has a circular rounded barrel shaped form.

The mahogany body of this antique box is fitted with two plain cylindrical hallmarked sterling silver mounts to the rims.

This antique wooden money box retains the original screw hallmarked circular stopper/cover embellished with a pierced decorated narrow opening allowing access for coins.

The stopper is encompassed with a functional ribbed border to the rim.

The upper plateau and underside of the 'still bank' are fitted with further panels of mahogany wood.
