The surface and swept border of the salver are encompassed with a bright cut engraved and pin struck undulating borders, with a central impressive bright cut engraved shield shaped cartouche surmounted with an urn with suspended husk and bud ornamentation.
The rim of this antique silver salver is embellished with an applied moulded border.
The underside of the salver bears the retailer’s mark ‘Bristol Goldsmiths Alliance’, in addition to the full hallmarks.
This impressive salver, crafted by the renowned London silversmith Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd, is a desirable shape.
