The pendant has an oval design accented with applied decoration to the upper and lower borders, and incorporates a hinged locket compartment for a personal memento or keepsake.
The anterior face of this impressive pendant is ornamented with a central 3mm seed pearl displayed within a subtle black enamel ring.
Eight further seed pearls embellish the applied, raised, chamfered scroll, trefoil and box designs around the central pearl.
The locket has a feature, subtly chamfered, scrolling leaf pierced decorated border.
This exceptional example of an antique gold locket is suspended from a contemporary, 18ct yellow gold, 46cm/18" trace chain via a tapering, fluted decorated loop hallmarked with the French gold guarantee hallmark (eagle's head).
The chain may be replaced with a chain of the same quality, in a style or length to meet your personal requirements.
The reverse cover to the hinged locket is ornamented with a chevron engraved decorated border which encircles scrolling, scallop-edged engraved patterns.
This impressive antique gold locket opens to permit access to the spacious inner compartment.
