The chalice has a circular rounded shaped form onto a knopped pedestal and circular spreading waisted shaped foot.
The knops to the stem and body of the drinking vessel are encircled with bands of applied moulded decoration.
The foot of this impressive chalice is ornamented with an impressive applied blue and red enamel cross-flory accented with a central quatrefoil design.
This impressive drinking vessel and paten retain the original gilding.
The paten has a subtly convex circular form onto a bead decorated collet style foot.
The underside of the paten is embellished with a bright cut engraved symbol representing the Agnus Dei* (a lamb holding a Christian banner), encircled with the inscription ‘Panis Vivus Agnus Dei’ - Living Bread, Lamb of God.
The communion set is fitted to the original hinged presentation box with a velvet interior.
This exceptional box retains the original riveted brass swivel catch and swing carrying handle to the cover.
