Look at what I found on the Online Galleries website!
It is the study of a young Spanish maiden with a basket full of fruit, sitting in the street. The artist caught his subject when she was resting and she looks a little bit nostalgic. She is wearing a local costume which shows signs of wear.
The colours are incredibly vibrant for its age and the painting has a beautiful period gilded frame which bears the signature of the artist.
Thomas Kent Pelham comes across as a collectable artist and his works are sold at major auction houses like Bonhams or Chrisitie's.
In excellent condition and ready to hang on your wall.
