The sunken well is plain and unembellished apart from the lion passant hallmark.
The centre of the plain well is surmounted with a cylindrical capital with an applied border around the rim.
This miniature chamberstick is fitted with a plain broad baluster shaped handle accented with a subtle rib design and a shaped terminal.
The reverse surface of the handle has been stuck with the maker's mark ‘DC’**.
This chamberstick could be used with a taper candle if so desired.
