The foot and flared upper rim of the body are encircled with bands of tooled decoration.
The mug is fitted with an impressive S scroll handle incorporating a plain thumbpiece.
This pint mug, crafted by the renowned Newcastle silversmiths John Robertson I & David Darling, is a finer quality and gauge of silver than similar examples of its type.
