This exceptional antique George III Scottish sterling silver chamberstick has a plain circular, rounded form.

The plain and cylindrical capital of this chamberstick candle holder is encircled with bands of applied moulded decoration.

The wax pan is encircled with an applied moulded border to the rim.

This antique chamberstick is fitted with a plain circular fingerpiece with a scrolling thumbpiece.

Such examples of Scottish silver chambersticks are becoming increasingly scarce to locate.
