The surface of this large Bateman silver mustard pot is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engrave crest of an armoured arm couped and embowed grasping a four leaf clover.
The upper portion of the large body is encircled with an exceptional chased scrolling foliate and floral design, all on a matte background.
The decoration to the body of this fine example of antique silverware incorporates an impressive applied leaf decorated border.
This mustard pot is fitted with a plain hallmarked domed hinged cover encircled with a further band of chased scrolling leaf and foliate decoration.
This exceptional example of antique silverware is fitted with an S scroll handle embellished with stemmed wild rose and foliate decoration.
The mustard pot is fitted with a removable blue glass liner and retains the original gilt interior.
This exceptional mustard pot was crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmith William Bateman II.
