Antique George V Sterling Silver and Cut Glass Tea Caddy

The vessel of this antique silver tea caddy retains the original plain hallmarked silver mount to the upper rim.
The caddy is fitted with a domed push fit hallmarked sterling silver cover featuring a embossed decoration accented with simplified floral designs.
The cover is surmounted with an impressive sterling silver finial depicting an Asian figure sat cross legged, dressed in traditional attire.
The glass body of the caddy is ornamented with cut glass decoration in a geometric design with a bands of stepped ornamentation to the shoulders, in addition to a star cut motif to the underside.

Height to top of finial 18cm/7.1"
