The reverse of the mirror has been embellished with an impressive hot enamel panel depicting a ship sailing between colourful floral and foliate enveloped rock formations to the foreground with a town scene and mountain to the backdrop, signed with the initials ‘DMC’.
The border to the reverse face, anterior surface and handle are plain and unembellished.
The mirror retains its original shaped bevelled glass.

The mirror has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
The glass is in excellent condition with no presence of black marks but bearing a slight grained effect in keeping with age. This does not detract from the overall aesthetic appearance.
The enamel is in perfect condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface are all slightly rubbed but legible; due to their location and for the type of item they could be considered as very clear.
Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
