The surface of each component is plain and unembellished.
Each set of tongs has a sprung form in the same manner as sugar tongs.
This antique set is fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, secured with two hinged catches.
These impressive asparagus servers were crafted in Chester by Herbert Edward Barker & Frank Ernest Barker of Barker Brothers.
