The surface of this unusual silver capstan inkwell is plain and unembellished.
This impressive inkwell is fitted with a plain hallmarked cylindrical cover which features a gent's pocket / fob watch.
The anterior surface of the cover secures with a bayonet fitting and features a velvet lining to the interior; when removed this allows access to the watch held within.
This impressive watch has a manual eight-day movement with a winder/crown to the top within a ring loop; the timepiece is in full working order.
The black enamel dial of the watch is encircled with applied circular mother of pearl Roman numeral hour markers and incorporates a seconds subdial.
This sterling silver inkwell is fitted with a removable silver liner.
The weighted base retains the original leatherette to the underside.
