This fine antique George V sterling silver four piece tea set consists of a spirit kettle, teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl.

Each piece has a plain oval rounded form onto a domed circular spreading foot.

The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished, with an applied moulded border to the upper rim.

The teapot and tea kettle are both fitted with hinged hallmarked domed covers surmounted with the original painted wood and silver finials.

The tea kettle has a plain scrolling handle with the original painted wood handpiece to the centre.

The teapot retains the original impressive shaped painted wood handle with plain silver sockets.

The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with angular sterling silver handles, reflecting the same design as the wooden handle to the teapot.

The teapot and kettle are both fitted with an impressive swan necked spout.

The tea kettle is supported on the original circular hallmarked stand, encircled with a band of pierced decorated circular motifs.

This impressive stand is supported by four scrolling legs, incorporating a plain frame which accommodates the original, detachable, hallmarked spirit burner.
