This exceptional antique George V sterling silver teapot has a plain elongated decagonal panelled form, in the classic oil can style.
The surface of this 1920s teapot is plain and encompassed with bands of undulating engraved decorated ornamentation to the lower portion and below the swept shoulders.
This impressive silver teapot is fitted with a plain domed, hinged hallmarked cover.
The cover is surmounted with the original carved wood and sterling silver cushion finial; this secures to the interior of the cover with a screw fitment.
The teapot retains the original carved painted wood angular handle, with a plain scrolling thumbpiece and plain silver sockets.
This fine example of antique teaware has an impressive panelled oil can spout.
This exceptional 1920s teapot is a large example of its type.
