Each piece has a compressed circular rounded form onto a spreading collet foot.
The body of each piece is plain and unembellished, apart from an applied moulded border to the rim.
The bachelor teapot is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover embellished with a stylised scrolling leaf design to the domed portion.
The cover is surmounted by the original carved painted wood and sterling silver finial.
The teapot retains the original C shaped carved painted wood handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece and scrolling sterling silver terminals.
The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with sterling silver C scroll handles; matching the style of the wooden handle to the teapot.
The underside of each piece bears the retailer’s mark ‘H.H Plante, 12 Bury St, St James’s S.W’.
