This exceptional antique George VI sterling silver presentation trophy has a plain octagonal panelled form onto a circular foot and plain octagonal collet base.

The cylindrical lower portion of this fine example of antique silverware is embellished with an impressive embossed scene depciting vested greyhounds racing around a fenced track.

The lower segment of the cup is surmounted with an impressive octagonal panelled column braced with iconic Art Deco tiered supports to the lower portion, in addition to a faceted knop and large globe style terminal.

This greyhound racing trophy is fitted to the original Art Deco style marble and painted wood plinth, featuring a vacant silver inscription plauqe; the plaque may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.

The plinth retains the original green baize to the underside.
