Antique Georgian Mahogany Bureau Bookcase
This beautiful antique Georgian mahogany bureau bookcase ca 1800 has a moulded cornice above a deep frieze with inlaid sections. The antique bookcase has two cupboard doors with moulded edges and the interior has two adjustable shelves. The lower section has a moulded fall front and the interior has several pigeon holes, small drawers, column slides and a central cupboard door. The piece has a pull out brushing slide above two cupboard doors and the interior has one adjustable sliding linen tray. The piece stands on beautiful small turned bun feet, splits into two for ease of removals, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
