This dancing figurine is dressed in luxurious garments accented with chains and beads, all embellished with applied and chased decoration replicating the fabric's scrolling patterns and textures.
To each wrist are multiple bangles, separated by the figures motions, her neck bears an impressive tiered ring chocker accented with a floral pendant drop.
The woman's long straight hair is draped behind her ears and hangs to the base of her back, surmounted with an interlacing fabric turban.
This turban is surmounted with two screw fitting stoppers, allowing access to fill the two separate rosewater chambers.
The rosewater in each compartment is released through the tip of each individual stemmed flower, held in the woman's hands*.
This impressive rosewater sprinkler stands to a swept cylindrical base encompassed with chased scrolling leaf designs.
The underside of this impressive sprinkler bears the purity hallmark 900, determining this piece as .900 (900/1000) standard silver.
* Many cultures traditionally use rosewater when a guest enters a household, their palms would be generously sprinkled as a gracious greeting. Alternatively the rose water could be used after a meal to remove any enduring food smells.
