This tray has a raised convex border ornamented with fine and impressive embossed and chased decoration depicting a rural farming village scene and iconic wild Indian animals.
The tray is further embellished with shaped scallop shell decorated corners.
The surface of this antique tea tray is embellished with an engraved contemporary initial ‘F’ towards one corner.
The silver tray is fitted with a fine and impressive pair of chased leaf decorated shaped handles.
The hallmarks struck to the underside of one handle include:

City mark: Bhowanipur, Calcutta
This exceptional large Asian silver tray is displayed with a five piece tea and coffee service for illustrative purposes only - the service (W6245) may be purchased separately from the AC Silver inventory.
