Ref:24270
A very rare early 19th century lob sided lawn tennis racquet in original condition. The maker of this exceptional racket is unknown but it is made with an unusually thick ash frame, with the convex wedge running all the way down through the handle. This racket is much heavier then the usual lawn tennis racket. The stringing also has an unusual pattern where an extra string has been introduced. The third string follows the lateral strings but is wrapped around every junction where the laterals and verticals meet.
Some of the stringing is damaged but this just adds to the stunning over all appearance of this racket.
