There are a few minor blemishes to the gilding, this does not detract from the aesthetically pleasing appearance.
The applied decoration is very sharp and both of the bright cut engraved crests are very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each salt are all very clear; the maker’s mark to one shows signs of wear but remains legible.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware.
