Heavy tall slim siver ewer shape cream jug on a pedestal base. Makers probably Henry Holland (mark rubbed) London 1859. It bears the crest of Sir Edmund Buckley 1st Baronet.
Sir Edmund Buckley, 1st Baronet (16 April 1834 – 21 March 1910) was an English landowner and Conservative politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1865 to 1878.
In 1872 he built a Victorian gothic mansion at Dinas Mawddwy called "Y Plas" which sadly after a fire in 1917 was not rebuilt.
In 1873 he also built a hotel, purportedly the oldest reinforced concrete building in Europe , which was called the Buckley Arms hotel.
