This lovely silver inkstand is in very good condition, both silver and glass, with no damage or restoration. The armorials are still good and very fine quality. The silver marks are clear, all pieces bar one have matching London 1820 dates and maker Samuel Wheatley. The gilt finish has a good colour and a bit of wear on the top surfaces. One inkwell top is marked London 1835, no maker, and has minor differences in the piercing. The bottles have deep vertical cutting and just a couple of minor chips which don’t show when the bottles are fitted.
