Antique Silver George III Salver made by John Hutson of London in 1786. The Salver is of rectangular form and stands on four shaped moulded feet. It is beautifully engraved with a border of leaves and grapes and catouches containing flowers. The centre is engraved with the crest of Hobson, a griffin in sergeant in beak a key. It is entered in Fairbain's book of crests it is shown on p167 no 13 & p19 no 12.
