A beautiful 4 piece sterling silver tea set with melon shape and cast decorative feet. The teapot and coffee pot have attractive pomegranate finials, the jug and bowl have the original gilt interior. Weight 2292 grams, 73.6 troy ounces. Height of teapot 16 cms. Contains 1 litre. Spread 28 cms. Coffee pot contains 1.4 litre. Teapot London 1837, the 3 other pieces London 1838. All by maker Joseph and Albert Savory.
This lovely antique silver tea set is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. Each piece is by the same maker. The assay dates are 2 consecutive years. The silver marks are clear and easy to read. Even the pomegranate finials have silver stamps. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age.
