There are 87 pieces in total and this set is in excellent condition. The handles, tines and bowls are well made and well balanced and would be comfortable to use. The forks and spoons range in date between 1844 and 1875 and have all been made by George Adams and each piece matches perfectly. The knives have silver handles and stainless steel blades and have been replaced in keeping with the fiddle pattern design. This set sits neatly in this lovely oak canteen box which still has the original brass handles and hinge fittings. The box has been re-lined to make it look more presentable. This set would be perfect to use and would grace any dining table. The total weight of the silver cutlery excluding the knives is 113 troy ounces.
