Antique Sterling Silver Teapot George III
Offered by AC Silver
The lower portion of the body is embellished with embossed fluted decoration.
One side of the body is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a unicorn's head couped, pierced with a spear and the other bears the initials 'SAMFC', all flanked with plain embossed girdles.
The undulating flared shoulders of the teapot are ornamented with an applied gadroon decorated border.
This fine Georgian sterling silver teapot is fitted with a plain hinged hallmarked cover embellished with further embossed fluted decoration to the domed portion.
The cover retains the original sterling silver finial encompassed with further gadroon decoration.
The teapot is fitted with the original carved pear wood C shaped handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece and scrolling silver sockets.
This antique sterling silver teapot has an impressive swan necked spout with embossed fluted decoration to the lower portion.
