This exceptional antique George V sterling silver wax jack has a rounded rectangular shaped form in the classic George III style.

The wax jack has a rounded rectangular combined capital and drip pan, encompassed with an applied gadroon decorated border.

The serpentine shaped wirework frame of this antique wax jack is fitted with a circular winding finger loop to one side, and a hallmarked snuffer to the other.

The conical shaped snuffer is plain and unembellished, with an applied moulded border to the rim and surmounted with a plain ball finial.

The domed portion of the foot is fitted with an impressive scrolling wirework handle.

The rim of the foot is embellished with further applied gadroon decoration identical to that of the drip pan.

The wax jack retains the original wax coil.
